It is kind of late to blog about this post but better than never! This is my 2nd Live YouTube soaping event a month ago inspired by the Honey Moon event. Honey Moon gets its name by the golden yellow color of the moon and it was the biggest moon because it was closest to the horizon. It is also sometimes called Strawberry Moon because it always happens during peak of strawberry harvest season which is the month of June. ReplyDeleteBeautiful soap! I noticed your camera is just focused on you so I can't really see what you're doing. I'm planning to make my first soap and was hoping you can also show how you make your soap. I'm also wondering if you give out recipes?
ReplyDeleteYou must have not watch the video far enough, I had about 10-12 minutes of introduction and explanation then after that the camera is redirected to look down at my soaping station to show how the soap is made. And I'm sorry I don't give out recipes.
Deletecan you please tell me the color of the top layer? is it just mmore blue ultramarine and black oxide in different proportions than th middle layer? and here did you get the pearls? i have not seen those- so cute
ReplyDeleteYes, the different shades of grey blue is just different proportions of ultramarine / black oxide combination. Those pearls are called sugar pearls, you can get them from any shop that sells baking tools. These are eatable sugar pearls people use to decorate their cake and cupcakes. You can even buy it from Amazon!
DeleteI love the soap it's just fantastic and thank you for the video showing how you created it. A fellow soaping friend gave me a trick I use salt shakers for all my mica's and Glitters which allows me much more control to get to the edges and how much I'm putting on
