Yes, it's definitely very pretty!! You're right, though - a lot of work! I hope you get it perfected. You are certainly persistent enough! Best wishes!
Hey! I just saw this! I watched your video and you're doing it differently than I did...I'm not sure if it's because my instructions weren't clear or you just wanted to try it a different way? I'll do a video in the next couple of days to show how it's done. The first slab swirl strokes that you did...you aren't supposed to do. But it still looks very pretty! -Amanda
Amanda, here you are! I was wondering when you gonna comment on my peacock experiments! LOL Yeah I was doing it differently than yours because I want uniform swirl so I looked up some paper marbling techniques on youtube. Here's my favorite one, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e6RM-KxR28&list=LLt2iHjCPutoL3MBNXmNmo1g&index=1&feature=plpp_video This is where I got my idea from.
It's a beautiful soap regardless of whether it turned out as your mind's eye saw it. Still very pretty. The peacock feather at the top of this page makes me think that maybe a column swirl might give you the peacock swirl you're trying to achieve. Just a thought...
I don't think it's peacock swirl either, but it's very pretty! I think you're getting closer!
