How I Make Mojito

It is finally published, though I totally skipped voice over because I really don't have time.  It takes hours to voice over a video that's almost 14 minutes long.  I did managed to add comments and tips where I see fit.  I also tried to add a piece of tropical music using youtube video editing but unfortunately it didn't go well, I have no idea if any of the editing ever got saved.

Anyway, here's the video you all been waiting for!

  2. Enjoyed watching you make the Mojito soap, Emily! I love the cocoa-coated pebbles and the M&P ice cubes. Did the soap gel, or did you pop it in the fridge? I wondered if gel phase would melt the M&P ice cubes. This soap is absolutely stunning - bravo! :)

  3. Miso is so cute Emily. I love animals, but I'm pretty much tend to favor cats and horses. As for the Mojito soap I gotta tell you that it is one of the most creatives soaps I've ever seen and the blueness really catches the eye. Can you tell me how you came up with the idea for this soap? Also, are you going to do a cutting video? I for one would like to see it. Have a wonderful weekend. Michelle - Los Angeles, CA.

  8. Loved the video! Very creative. Thanks for sharing it. I'm curious if you gelled the soap and whether or not the MP would melt if the soap gelled.

    1. I don't think it gelled, I did not insulate the soap. I only gel my soap if I want certain color effect or the ingredients I use just heat up by itself. When I use M&P like this I don't gel to avoid melting. But if I use M&P as swirl in the CP soap it really doesn't matter.

  9. Thanks! I looked at the colors again earlier and figured it hadn't gelled.
    Beautiful soap! Appreciate the response.

  10. Another question. Did you place the soap pebbles randomly? It looks like it in the video but they're in exactly the right place on the face of the soap bar.

    1. I already knew I was going to split the log in the middle because I used a very narrow mold. In order to get those pebbles in a line long enough to see random alignment I planned ahead to split the log in the middle length wise. So I placed all pebbles randomly in the middle.

  11. How do you make the pebbles? This is so unique !

    1. The pebbles are just random left over soap scrap cut into irregular shapes then rolled in a bowl with dark cocoa powder to coat the outside.
